Obama endorsing marriage Gay - Wall Street Journal

WASHINGTON - the Chairman Barack Obama said Wednesday the gays and lesbians should be "treated like any other American", and bordered to approving gay marriages, but again stopped short.

A White House News Conference, Mr. Obama has predicted that gays and lesbians will finally enjoy equal rights. He welcomed the movement towards greater equality. He noted the embrace of his administration of legal reasoning that makes it difficult to maintain the prohibitions on same-sex marriages.

At the same time, Mr. Obama reiterated that States should decide whether to allow such marriages. And he refused to say if he personally supports these unions.

"I will do...".
