The LONG BEACH Township, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey is the most densely populated nation State, and a trip to the beach is a must from time to time.

That is why a plan by the State to give the shore towns more control public access to the beaches has created a sandstorm of protest.

Environment Commissioner Bob Martin says in New Jersey can negotiate better general public access to the shoreline by working with local cities instead threaten or dictate their. He noted that there is already more than 1 000 points of access to the coast of 127-mile of the State.

But many assisted advocates and access are concerned that the new rules will allow cities to use tricks like not providing parking and toilets to keep foreigners out of the sand.

And the fear of surfers and fishers to the line the beaches at night time.
