(CNN) - Marine have jostled to hospitals in Southern California on Wednesday after a helicopter crash in the northern section of the Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps base.
Three marines had treatment at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, hospital spokesman Lisa Ohmstede said.
At least, another was transported to the Mission Hospital in Orange County with serious injuries, CNN affiliate KGTV reported.
Six people were on board the helicopter, which crashed at about noon Wednesday, said a statement from the body of marine.
No further information is available on the extent of their injuries.
The helicopter was a UH - 1Y (Huey) which belonged to the third Marine aircraft wing.
Camp Pendleton Fire Department and emergency services responded immediately to the accident, which has also caused a small fire, told KGTV.
Marine officials are investigating the cause of the incident.
